GRVAC Members Refresh their
Skills
Members of the Glen
Rock Volunteer Ambulance Corps attended a CPR
recertification class held at their building in
April. The class was conducted by
instructor/members Chief John DeLaat and Christine
Kochaniec. CPR cards need to be renewed every 2
years and the class is held yearly for GRVAC members
at the ambulance building. Any changes in
procedures for CPR, choking victims, rescue
breathing, child and infant CPR and the AED
(Automated External Defibrillator) are reviewed.
This is an important part of the ongoing training
required by members not only to keep their EMT cards
current, but to learn of any new
procedures developed by the State of New Jersey.
