Hats Off to Diane Herrlett!
Last week, Diane Herrlett stepped down as
President of the Glen Rock Volunteer Ambulance Corps
(GRVAC). In its 54 year history, no one else has
volunteered more time as President of the Corp than
Diane, who just completed nine years in this
position. During this time, she has masterfully
balanced the demands of the position of GRVAC
President, her job, her home, and of course, her
family.
An EMT and member of the GRVAC for the past 25
years, Diane has been instrumental in moving the
Corp ahead during these very challenging times. The
GRVAC has grown considerably over the years, having
answered almost 900 calls in 2005, continuing in our
proud tradition of providing emergency care and
assistance – 24/7 – to the residents of Glen Rock.
I didn’t want Diane’s tremendous contributions to
go unnoticed by our community. I applaud her past
leadership, appreciate her for sharing her
experiences with me, and hope you will join me in
extending your thanks and appreciation to her for a
job well done!
Mary J. Surrago
President, GRVAC
