Glen Rock Ambulance Corps Upgrades Equipment

The
Glen Rock Ambulance Corps recently purchased two
Stryker Power Pro Stretchers in part through the
generosity of a grant from the 200 Club of
Bergen County, proceeds from a beefsteak dinner
held in memory of Phil Gulmy, Jr. and private
donations in Mr. Gulmy’s memory. The January 12th
sold out beefsteak was sponsored by the Glen
Rock Athletic Club and raised over $3000 towards
the stretchers. The 200 Club donated a grant in
the amount of $5500.
The new Power Pro
Stretchers are designed for greater patient
comfort with smooth operation, which is a high
priority for the ambulance corps. The hydraulic
features eliminate the need for members to
manually lift the patients, thus reducing the
incidence of injury.

Pictured with the members
of the Ambulance Corps are Chris Sefcik,
President of the GR Athletic Club, Elizabeth,
Butch and Laura Gulmy, and Jim Colls, Chairman
of the beefsteak dinner.
