Nothing is more
gratifying than to save someone’s life, but when
that life belongs to someone you know, the
reward is double. The Glen Rock Ambulance
Corps celebrated that saved life at their annual
spring party held at Biagio’s Restaurant on June
2, 2006.
Special plaques were given out to members of
the Ambulance Corps and the Police Department
for a CPR “save” in December of 2005. Mayor
John Van Keuren presented the plaques to the EMS
personnel with special words of praise and
gratitude since the victim they saved was his
wife, Ginny. He said that the Borough of Glen
Rock was fortunate to have such a professional
and caring EMS Department, but nowhere is it
more evident than when you experience it on a
personal level. Mrs. Van Keuren added her own
thanks from the bottom of her “new
defibrillator”. It was truly a night of
celebration for the Ambulance Corps.
