Joan Zanotti EMS Award

Joan Zanotti, of the Glen Rock Volunteer Ambulance Corps, was awarded the EMS Outstanding Service Award from Valley Hospital at their annual awards ceremony on February 19, 2008.  This award is based on leadership ability, professionalism, pre-hospital knowledge and commitment. 

Joan has been a member of the Ambulance Corps since 1981.  She has served as its Captain, President, Recording Secretary, Training Officer and recently a member of the Emergency Preparedness Committee.  Along with her duties as an EMT, she is an Emergency Room Nurse at Valley Hospital. 

Volunteerism and leadership runs in the Zanotti family.  Her husband, Artie, has been a member of the Glen Rock Fire Department for almost 30 years and has held the position of Captain. 

Joan will be honored at the 2009 Installation Dinner for her 25 years of active service to the GRVAC.
