Glen Rock
Ambulance Corps Youth Squad Members Receive
Appreciation Plaque
Printed in The Villadom Times, June 21, 2006
Glen Rock Ambulance Corps
Youth Squad Members Matt Auslander and Stephanie
Amos were presented with appreciation plaques from
the Corps at the Senior Awards assembly on June 7th.
Marry Surrago, President of the Ambulance Corps,
presented the plaques.

Matt has been riding for the
GRVAC since he was 16 years old. He is one of our
growing number of Youth Squad members and just
recently became a Senior Squad member on his 18th
birthday. He will be joining the Air Force in
September, and although he will be missed on the
Ambulance Corps, he will be blessed with plenty of
letters from members while he is away. We look
forward to a great future for Matt in the armed
forces.

Stephanie Amos is our newest
member and a fourth generation resident of Glen
Rock. Her great grandparents, Edward and Edna Herold,
started Herold’s Farm in 1936 on land they purchased
from his parents originally bought in 1915. Both
her father, Bob, and uncle, Scott, were members of
the Glen Rock Fire Department and Stephanie is
continuing the fine tradition of volunteerism in her
family. She plans on attending Ramapo College in
the fall and will continue to take ambulance duty
during her school breaks. We congratulate her on
her graduation and welcome her to the GRVAC family.
