To the Editor:
We are writing this letter to thank the Glen
Rock Volunteer Ambulance Corp and to let the
citizens of Glen Rock know about the good things
that happen all the time in your wonderful
town.
Last week while visiting our daughter and
son-in-law, my husband was suddenly taken ill in
the middle of the night. We called 9-1-1 to
help us. The response was immediate and the
care was outstanding.
The police arrived first, assessed the situation
and determined we needed the Glen Rock EMTs,
soon followed by The Valley Hospital Mobile
ICU.
They went to work swiftly, stabilizing my
husband’s condition and evaluating the need for
further care.
Everyone involved made a frightening experience
tolerable. I was so impressed by a town member
who said as they were leaving, “If anything
happens again, please call us immediately.”
Our whole family owes a great deal of gratitude
to a vary caring team of emergency response
personnel.
