2020 GRVAC Annual Fundraiser
September 2020
Dear Fellow Resident:
The year of 2020 has surely been one that none of us will ever forget, much less want to relive. Everyone has been challenged in every aspect of life, in their businesses, personal lives, religious communities, health and in many other ways.
Our members have been challenged with keeping not only their patients but themselves safe on calls and we are proud of the diligence they have shown in wearing the PPE necessary to protect everyone. We have also been overwhelmed by the response when we were in need of masks and sanitizers. Glen Rock residents and local businesses donated large supplies of both items so that we were able to fill our stock for the future. And of course, it was truly touching to see all the lawn signs supporting the health care workers and the essential workers as well.
This letter is our annual request for donations to support our organization so we can continue our mission to the residents of Glen Rock. In these current times, any donation your can offer will be truly appreciated.
A bit of good news, the EMS Training Center is now open for classes, so if you were thinking of joining the Ambulance Corps, please consider signing up for the fall or winter classes. For more information, please visit our website, www.grvac.org to learn more and get in touch with our Recruitment chairperson.
We have been called by many “Heroes”, although that is certainly not the reason our members joined the Glen Rock Ambulance Corps. But with this in mind, think about becoming a “Hero” yourself.
We recently saw a sign that said, "Be Someone's Hero - Join a Volunteer Ambulance Corps." You could be that “Hero”.
Sincerely,
Diane Herrlett,
President
