Equipment
The Glen Rock Volunteer Ambulance Corps is equipped with two ambulances, 820 & 821, and one first responder, 829, to respond to emergency calls.
Ambulance 821
On Saturday afternoon, October 24, 2015 at 4:30 pm, the Glen Rock Volunteer Ambulance Corps celebrated its newest ambulance 821 with a traditional "wetdown" ceremony.
In addition to state of-the-art technology in the ambulance, 821 and its five year-old companion Ambulance 820 are both equipped with the new Stryker Power-LAD hydraulic system, which lifts patients weighing up to 700 pounds with the touch of a button. The system lifts and lowers the cot into and out of the ambulance, helping to ensure patient safety and reducing the risk of spinal injuries for GRVAC members. |

Zumro Tent
GRVAC owns a 20 foot by 20 foot Zumro inflatable tent so that fireman could rest, receive oxygen, have their vital signs monitored, and generally “rehabilitate” before they go back into a fire. Having a sheltered area to administer this treatment is especially important in inclement weather.
The Zumro meets many criteria. It is extremely weatherproof, sufficiently large enough to serve many patients at once, and very easy to erect using the least number of first aid personnel.
