Glen Rock Celebrates John DeLaat's 25th Anniversary with the GRVAC

John DeLaat was honored at the GRVAC annual installation ceremonies, January 16, 2016. In attendance were the Mayor, members of GRPD, plus present and retired life members of the GRVAC. John was awarded numerous awards including prestigious letters of recognition from President Obama, Governor Christie, Mayor Bruce Packer and the GRPD PBA.
John said "When I was coaching youth sports 25 years ago, I felt it important to gain a higher level of emergency first aid skills just in case it would be needed. Training to become an EMT answered that need". "Beyond that", he said, "there is nothing better than the family atmosphere at the GRVAC".
